1980 to present - BEFCO Engineering, Inc., Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying, La Grange, Texas.  Involved in all areas of civil engineering as well as land surveying.  Notable surveying projects include right-of-way acquisition project for TxDOT and the survey of LCRA’s lignite leasehold properties in Fayette County. 

 

Engineering experience includes many federally funded water and wastewater projects for various clients.  Recent projects include complete wastewater system for the City of Cuney and Waelder, water system improvements for the City of Flatonia, drainage projects for the City of Bastrop, and various drainage projects for the City of Smithville.  Engineered numerous projects for cities such as Nixon, Waelder, and Smithville.  Also engineered multi-million dollar expansion of Fayette Water Supply Corporation, the most recent part of which includes over sixty miles of distribution lines and a water well.  Other projects include Lee County Water Supply Corporation’s Phase VIII and IX expansions, including three water wells and elevated storage tanks.

 

1979 through 1980 - O’Malley Engineers in Brenham, Texas.  Experience includes project engineering on a number of projects for various municipalities, such as the City of Navasota’s $1 million gas rehabilitation project as well as on a sanitary sewer trunk line project in Navasota.  Other projects cities included Brenham and Hempstead.

 

1974 through 1979 - Project engineer with the Exxon Corporation.  Worked his way up to senior engineer in the pipeline division and also worked in Exxon’s Planning and Evaluation Group in Houston.  Other related experience included work in the Louisiana Coastal Division’s offshore drilling program, as well as work as Associate Engineer in the Civil Design Group.  Designed various pipelines and tank farms and the fire system at Exxon’s 100 acre tank farm in Pasadena, Texas.
